The growth of information and communications technologies(ICT)and the impact the interconnectedness of those in the scientific association stimulate knowledge diffusions that are useful for advancement of scientific profession as well as research and development(R&D).Also,it is imperative to know factors that facilitates connection and difusion of knowledge between scientific disciplines. Therefore, knowledge diffusion processes require further opinions mainly increasing from the primary simple explanation of space as the distance among scientific disciplines. The problem is that;to the greatest of our knowledge no literature is known that indicates that a study was undertaken to measure the diffusion of knowledge between library and computer science disciplines. The objective of this study is to investigate knowledge diffusion between two science disciplines that are closely related and it is also to contribute of the discussion by empirically measuring the connectivity of different science disciplines through the application knowledge trend. This study used a quantitative research approach. The required data are extracted through Web of Science(WOS)which contains 2162 journals for 13-years citation data set within(2005-2017)and chose 68 high cited journals among those journals to prove the degree of mutual citation between two disciplines.Citespace and VOS viewer selected as instrument for analyses data after retrieving the data. Then,in order to describe the diffusion of knowledge between library and computer science,it is used by centrality network analysis and cluster analysis as a network measurement. These two methods proposed to measure the range of knowledge diffusion based on journal citation(citing and cited)between two sciences. However, results prove that the diffusion of scientific knowledge is influenced by library sciences network than computer sciences network. This finding could be attributed to rapid growth of scientific disciplines that makes sharing of information easier at an international level.
