As an important member of the library cause,children’s library is an educational institution serving minors.Hubei Children’s library,affiliated with the Hubei Provincial Library,was officially launched on June 1,2018.Although formally established as a provincial children’s library,it is still a non-independent institution.With the development of the Times,the service that the children’s library can provide does not match with the increasing demand of the public,and there is great room for improvement in the public cultural service.Therefore,based on the premise of reader’s satisfaction,it is of great practical significance to study the path to improve the public cultural service of Children’s library.Based on the new public management theory and the customer satisfaction theory,this paper takes the children’s library of Hubei Province as the research object,and adopts the methods of Literature Research,questionnaire survey and interview to carry out relevant research,by means of questionnaires and interviews with readers and librarians,the public satisfaction with the public cultural service of Children’s library in Hubei Province was found out,the existing problems and their causes are pointed out,including the problems of environmental facilities,service consciousness,resource construction,publicity and popularization,the reasons are lack of autonomy,less funds,unreasonable personnel structure and a single propaganda platform.Based on the research of the problems and causes,this paper holds that the following aspects can be carried out to improve the public cultural service quality of Hubei Children’s Library:First,to upgrade the hardware facilities and pay attention to the needs of special groups;Secondly,we should strengthen the construction of library collection resources and establish a scientific collection system.Thirdly,we should optimize the personnel structure and build a professional compound librarian team.Fifth,strengthen publicity,Innovation Online Service Platform;sixth,marketing upgrade,vigorously develop cultural and creative products. |
