Research On Comprehensive Archives Service In The 5G Era

On June 6,2019,the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued 5G commercial licenses to four operators,marking China’s official entry into the 5G commercial era.5G not only greatly improves the broadband speed,but also will make the whole society and all industries interconnected and connected,realizing the connection between people,between people and things and between things.5G mobile communication technology,as the basis of the operation of high and new technologies,can integrate other cloud computing,big data,artificial intelligence and other technologies and create new service modes and application scenarios.At the same time,China’s newly revised archives law strengthens the support for the innovation and research of archives science and technology,accelerates the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements in all aspects of archives,and improves the independent research and development ability of archives science and technology.The legislation also supports the scientific management of archives,and uses modern technologies(RFID technology,Internet of Things,blockchain,etc.)to promote the ecological development of archives management in the whole life cycle of collection,management,storage and use,and to promote the progress of archives science and technology.Therefore,the integrated archive will no longer be the custodian of social memory,but the participant and guide of social memory.The first chapter of this article analyzes the many opportunities and challenges that the 5G era will bring to comprehensive archives services,including innovative service concepts,open sharing of interlibrary resources,meeting user needs,high capital investment and unstable returns,threats to archives and user information Security etc.The second chapter puts forward the various application scenarios that the comprehensive archives may realize in the environment of "5G+ video networking/VR,AR/artificial intelligence/intelligent buildings",so as to realize the distanceless,immersive and intelligent file service.The third chapter re-positions the service function of the comprehensive archives according to the application scenarios,including the construction of a network service platform,knowledge sharing innovation,and personalized intelligent push.It aims to satisfy the public’s expectations and needs for comprehensive archives in many ways,attract more people into the archives,improve the utilization rate of archives,and realize the value of archives.
