A Study On The Service-oriented Construction Of University Archive Information Resources

With the growing development of archives informatization in China, the construction of information resources of archives, a core of archives informatization, has been attracting more and more cares than before. Especially in Chinese universities, the construction of information resources has also started in earlier years, while there are many factual problems found during the process of construction of information resources in Chinese Universities.Firstly, this thesis begins with a systematical analysis on the relationship between construction of information resources and the utilization of archives, and draws a central viewpoint on that construction of information resources must face on the utilization and services, and the feasibility and necessity of this central viewpoint are analyzed theoretically and practically.Secondly, on condition of choosing Chinese Universities' archives works as the research objective, this thesis analyses the substantial matter, the fundamental tasks, and the special function and importance of the construction of university archives information resources. Consequently the main viewpoint of this thesis is furtherly established, that is to say, the construction of university archives information resources should also face the service of universities' development.Thirdly, the thesis places the emphasis upon exploring the strategies and conceiveness for the construction of university archives information resources. Aiming to complete this, the master plan and design are done from three macroscopic aspects namely ideology, thinking and organizational leadership, and two moderate aspects namely information demand analysis and security system. Therefore, in microcosmic aspects some approaches and countermeasures to implement archive digitization, archive information processing, resource share and integration, and some characteristic archives information resource construction, are put forth.Finally, the key conclusion is drawn, that is, the health and vigor of sustained development for university archives affairs lies on giving good services and meeting the wide needs from universities themselves and other social institution.
