Research On Information Accessibility Of Public Libraries In Jilin Province

At present,faced with the rapid development of information technology,the visually impaired population accounts for a certain proportion,and people are extremely eager for information,so the construction of information barrier free service is imperative.From the perspective of visually impaired readers,this paper studies the information accessibility service of Jilin Public Library.The author of more than 20 visually impaired reading rooms in Jilin Province to understand the real situation of information accessibility services,including information resources accessibility,physical environment accessibility(building and equipment),web accessibility(using Web)The checker test tool tests the accessibility of the home page of the library's official website and the services provided by the visually impaired reading room,and finds out some typical cases in China and the province.Based on the analysis of the questionnaire survey and interviews of the visually impaired readers,the author puts forward a new operation mode of the visually impaired reading room based on the needs of the visually impaired readers.Based on the investigation of the public libraries in Jilin Province and the visually impaired readers,this paper finds out the problems of the visually impaired reading room in Jilin Province,and puts forward some suggestions for improvement.This paper mainly adopts the methods of field investigation,questionnaire survey,interview and literature research.The research shows that there are the following problems in the visually impaired reading room of each library: the actual number of visitors is small,the utilization rate of various facilities is very low,the professional talents are extremely short,the staff is seriously short,the funds are short,especially the working capital,the accessibility of the web page is low,and the corresponding system is not perfect.We can strengthen the publicity,according to the local actual situation,transform the braille reading room,and introduce the braille reading room in order to change the status,the government should strengthen the financial support,attach importance to the construction of barrier free websites,and improve the legal system of relevant libraries.
