An Study On The Development Problems Of The Electronic Reading Room Of Public Library In China

Electroinc reading room refers to modernized multi-functional reading room which provides electronic documents (such as magnetic disc,CD,network information) for reading, consulting, training and serving. In recent years, in order to offer information service to readers fast and high-efficiently, the public library generally opens the electronic reading room and offers electronic information service with various kinds of information resources. However, some phenomena that the service function twist of electronic reading room have appeared in the practical work. This paper uses the social informatics theory to probe into the development problems of the electronic reading room. The article puts the development problems of the electronic reading room in the social environment to discuss and surveys the internal and external influence factors and analyzes the puzzlements faced in development. On these basis, the authour puts forward the tactics of protecting the healthy development of the electronic reading room.
