Research On The Construction Of The Metadata Standard System Of Multilingual And Shared Economic Management Database For Countries Along The Belt And Road

In the context of the continuous advancement of the “Belt and Road” initiative,in order to meet the information needs in the field of economics,it is necessary to build a multilingual and shared economic management database for countries along the “Belt and Road”.Metadata standards are essential for data quality control of the database.This article summarizes the research status of related topics,and focuses on the current status of metadata standards currently used.Based on the survey results,the article builds a metadata standard system framework for the “Belt and Road”economic management database.The full text is divided into 6 chapters,and main contents are as follows:Chapter 1 introduces the research background and summarizes the research status at China and abroad.The results find that metadata standards proposed by existing researches are different,and there is still a lack of unified metadata standards in China.This chapter also summarizes the research content and methods,research difficulties and innovations of this article.Chapter 2 analyzes and defines relevant concepts in this article,including the“Belt and Road” initiative,the concept of multilingual,shared economic management database and the concept of metadata.Chapter 3 analyzes the resource selection scope of the “Belt and Road” database,and selects four countries to survey,including China,Russia,Singapore,and the UAE.Then selects two types of databases as research targets,including international economic associations / organizations and government open data.This chapter focuses on the investigation of the content of metadata standards used by each database,the standard setters and the implementation of these standards.Chapter 4 analyzes the different requirements of metadata standards for data resource collections and data resource content,and believes that unified metadata standards can be used for data resource collections,research papers,and research report-type information resources.However,information on policies and regulations,news,audio,video,or images all require special metadata standards.Chapter 5 establishes a metadata standard system framework of the “Belt and Road” database,which based on the results of research and analysis,and in accordance with the construction principles and construction processes proposed by the current national standards.The framework consists of three parts: metadata standard system structure,metadata standard system content,and metadata standard system content preparation instructions.Chapter 6 summarizes the full text,points out that the research in this article still has some deficiencies in the scope of investigation,requirement analysis and making of standards.This chapter also puts forward the prospect of future research directions,including expands the scope of investigation and make the content of metadata standard system.
