Urumqi evening news,as the official newspaper of Urumqi municipal committee,needs to publicize the party's line,principles and policies.In 2003,"Urumqi evening news" established the policy of "telling people's lives with mainstream voices",and the social service and educational functions of the newspaper became increasingly prominent.This paper analyzes Urumqi evening news since 2000 with text analysis to answer how the evening news realizes its political propaganda,social service and educational functions through news reports,and what characteristics the evening news discourse has formed in this process.The research found that the news discourse perspective of Urumqi evening news realized the political propaganda function was transferred to the common people,and the policy effectiveness was expressed by the common people's feelings.Among them,policy is the core of the report.The newspaper selects topics around the policy and sets up new problems caused by the policy and solutions in the daily life space.In terms of the report structure,it has formed the characteristics of raising problems,discussing problems and solving problems,and the policies and actions constitute a complete system,which expresses the ability of the party and the government to repair the gaps in social development at any time and ensures the harmonious and stable development of the society.Reflect the service function of social news in the Urumqi evening of news reporting the highest proportion in the total amount,in daily life consumption,evening paper highlighted the "safe" sexual life data for the theme,in the daily activities of the report,highlights the national communication,exchanges and integration,the theme of the concept in the daily activities of the report,stressed the theme helping each other,to construct the harmonious life,safety of Urumqi residents.Through the questionnaire survey of the audience,this paper finds that respondents have a high recognition of news reports and functions of Urumqi evening news,but in the context of new media,the new media platform of evening news is not highly exposed,which will affect the future media integration development of Urumqi evening news.Based on this,this paper analyzes the contents of the WeChat publicnumber of Urumqi evening news,and finds that the news in the public number follows the news discourse style of the newspaper media,which will affect the influence of the evening paper on users on the new media platform through news discourse.Therefore,this paper proposes that in the next five years,with the development of 5G,artificial intelligence,Internet of things and other technologies,"Urumqi evening news" should also integrate digitalization into content production,consumption and media operation and management.Only in this way can we better voice the "mainstream voice" in the context of new media and better "serve the public life".
