Passing through the rough and resplendence in the 20th century, our own party newspaper is flourishing with progressive development in the new century. However, in the new historical period, the living environment and development status of our party newspaper has taken great changes with the striking booming of the market economic. In this situation, not only there exists difficulties and hope at the same time, but also the challenge and opportunity presence together. This paper first gives a close analysis on the current situation of party newspapers in China, based on reception aesthetics, the incisive discussed of Marx in production and consumption, journalism and mass communication. And then it presents some workable strategies in hope that they can help the party newspapers adapt to the new living environment better and fulfill their responsibilities in the new era. It's expected that the paper will not only bring some enlightenments to the party newspapers in terms of theory, but also help them to solve different kinds of problems in practice.Currently, because the reports thought, way and theme of party newspaper is still traditional, so make the readership reducing continually. Lacking audience's consciousness, the development of party newspaper is affected. Objectively, party newspaper is passive under long-term plan economy. Subjective, it is not keeping pace with times, not satisfy the readers.It is instructive of "readers pan-modernity" of reception aesthetics to the party newspaper development. Reception aesthetics with newspaper journalism communication has some related points in many aspects, it also has certain enlightenment, such as readers are the center of activities, dissemination of news reports need to reconsider, let "readers" intervention news newspapers work and newspaper need innovate, and so on.By these revelations, we knew that, reception aesthetics could be used to the strategy research of paper newspaper in the new challenge. Party newspaper need to take social responsibility, establish authoritative position, change report way, close to readers, attention audience and mining own advantages, and so on.Of course, the paper newspaper development ideas depend on the practice and continuously improved of theory.
