In the face of the dilemma of "big but not strong" and the structural contradiction of mismatch between supply and demand,it is the only way to realize the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry."Made in China 2025" clearly stated that "promoting the deep integration of informatization and industrialization as the main line,vigorously developing intelligent manufacturing,and building an industrial ecosystem and a new manufacturing model under the conditions of informatization".The upgrading of manufacturing industry cannot be driven by large-scale factor input,but by information technology represented by artificial intelligence and big data,so as to realize the leap from "manufacturing power" to "manufacturing power".This paper takes the influence of artificial intelligence on the upgrading of manufacturing industry as the main line of research and empirically tests the effect of artificial intelligence on the upgrading of manufacturing industry.Firstly,this paper introduces the research background,research significance,research methods and shortcomings of this paper.Secondly,relevant theories of industrial upgrading and smile curve are introduced,and relevant literatures at home and abroad are sorted out to lay a theoretical foundation for the study of the following articles.At the same time,this paper focuses on the analysis of the mechanism of artificial intelligence manufacturing upgrading,and discusses the action path of artificial intelligence to promote the upgrading of manufacturing,including industrial technology innovation effect,industrial integration and development effect,industrial synergy effect,etc.On the basis of theoretical research,this paper makes a descriptive analysis of the development status of artificial intelligence and manufacturing industry in China,and probes into the problems faced by the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.On this basis,the panel data of listed intelligent manufacturing enterprises and the Malmquist productivity index method were used to calculate the total factor productivity of enterprises and its decomposition factors,and the econometric model was used to conduct empirical analysis on the influencing factors.Finally,based on the problems found,policy Suggestions are put forward for the upgrading of China's manufacturing industry,such as cultivating compound talents needed for intelligent manufacturing,establishing artificial intelligence research laboratories,and constructing large databases of manufacturing links.
