Manufacturing industry is an important pillar of China’s national economy.At present,the manufacturing industry is facing problems such as the disappearance of demographic dividend,high energy consumption and serious pollution.It is in urgent need of R &D and introduction of new technologies to break through the development bottleneck and inject new kinetic energy into the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.The application of artificial intelligence in manufacturing industry provides a new solution to break through the current dilemma,and has also become the driving factor for the development of manufacturing industry to high quality.It is of great practical significance to study the promotion and influence mechanism of artificial intelligence application on the business performance of manufacturing enterprises and the heterogeneity of different types of manufacturing enterprises,and to explore how to use the current outlet of artificial intelligence development to promote manufacturing enterprises to adhere to the theme of high-quality development and build a manufacturing power,At the same time,it can also enrich the research content of artificial intelligence in the field of enterprise management.Firstly,through literature review and theoretical analysis,this paper puts forward the hypothesis that the application of artificial intelligence can promote the business performance of manufacturing enterprises,the influence difference of different types of enterprises and the intermediary effect of labor productivity.In the process of empirical analysis,using the samples of China’s industrial enterprise database and Customs enterprise database from 2000 to 2014,this paper constructs OLS model and fixed effect model,and further uses instrumental variables to solve endogenous problems.The regression results show that the application of artificial intelligence has a significant positive impact on the business performance of manufacturing enterprises;In order to deeply study the heterogeneity of different types of enterprises,this paper carries out grouping regression.The results show that according to different classifications,the application of artificial intelligence has a significant business performance improvement effect in low-tech enterprises,non-state-owned enterprises,other trading enterprises and enterprises in the eastern region,and affected by the factors of the financial crisis,compared with 2008-2014,the application of artificial intelligence has a more significant enterprise performance improvement effect from 2000 to 2007.In order to further verify the mechanism of AI application affecting enterprise business performance,this paper constructs an intermediary effect model for regression test.The regression results show that labor productivity is one of the channels for AI application to improve the business performance of manufacturing enterprises.Finally,according to the research conclusions,this paper puts forward policy suggestions to promote the formation of a more perfect robot industry system,promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence technology and manufacturing development,give full play to the intermediary role of labor productivity,and improve the application efficiency of artificial intelligence according to different types of enterprises(industrial technical characteristics,enterprise ownership,trade mode and regional distribution). |
