The term "post-90s" refers to the generation that was born in the 1990 s.Their birth and growth were accompanied by reform and opening up and rapid economic development, and such an epochal context created a group of people who thought and acted differently from their fathers.Compared to their predecessors, the post-90 s group has a more diverse value orientation and more open-mindedness,so the post-90 s group has attracted public attention and become one of the important targets of mass media coverage. As the dominant discourse, the mass media's reporting can largely influence the public's perception and understanding of something. As an important force in the future of the country, the change in the media image of the "post-90s" group is not only a phenomenon in the field of information and communication, but also a phenomenon in the social context of a combination of factors involving social change, cultural accumulation and public opinion. Therefore, there are important theoretical and practical implications for the study of the topic of "Changing media image of the post-90s".In this paper,a total of 386 news reports about the "post-90s" group in China Youth Daily were selected as the study sample, using the period from 2007 to 2019 as the time point. The research method mainly adopts textual analysis to statistically analyze the relevant data collected from the sample of China Youth Daily, and summarize the changes in the media image of the "post-90s" and its characteristics over the decade from 2007 to 2019.Then,using news frame theory as the theoretical basis, and combining the three levels of high school and low school of frame classification by Taiwanese scholar Zang Guo-ren,we study the construction of "post-90s" media image and its process of change between 2007 and 2019 from the three dimensions of issue frame, narrative frame and discourse expression frame of news reports. In the more than 10 years of reporting by China Youth Daily, the "post-90s" media image coverage has gone through a process from positive to negative to comprehensive. Moreover, the media image of this group has the characteristics of mutability, concentration and discontinuity in the process of change, the author analyzes it from the three levels of high and low,and finds that the process of change has six dimensions of internal and external attribution. At the same time, the author has proposed three strategies for the mass media to adhere to the principle of objective, comprehensive and three-dimensional reporting, abandoning labeling of reporting and adhering to the correct orientation of public opinion, with a view to making some reference to the media in the objective and comprehensive construction of the media image.
