It is worth researching into the evaluation of academic journal level. The traditional evaluating indicators includes Cited number of journal, impact factor, mean citing rate, cited half-life and so on. Journal's impact factor is one of the important evaluating indicators to evaluate its academic influence. Impact factor is not only an indicator to estimate the serviceability of journal, but also an indicator to estimate science level and quality of paper. The affecting factor of academic journal's impact factor is researched in this paper, in order to supply references to people when they make use of these evaluating indicators. The main content is listed here:Part One: The influence of the impact factor over the indicator of journal originIn this paper, journals are classified by subjects(Basic science, agricultural science, medicine care and industrial technology), and then information systems are builded respectively. First, continuous data should be represented in a discrete form. Next, positive region reduction about the indicator of journal origin is processed respectively, then educed the least reduction of the index of journal stems about the impact factor.Part Two: The influence of the impact factor over journal factorFor the journals of maths and chemistry , the dependency relationship between impact factor and journal factor is discussed by means of the attribute reduction of rough set. For the information systems which decision-making attribute is impact factor, the dependency relationship and the degree of significance between condition attribute and decision-making attribute is figured out.
