A Study On The Relationship Between References And Paper Citations Based On The Journal Unit

The citation frequency is the main index to characterize the quality of the essay.A largenumber of studies have shown that in addition to the quality of an essay,some other external factors will affect the citation frequency of the essay.Reference is an important part of a scientific paper and a knowledge base of scientific research.It is of great significance to study the relationship between references and the citation frequency.This paper firstly summarizes the background and research methods of the research,and makes a systematic summary and review of previous studies,then it introduces the index system,data source and measurement model of this article in detail.After that this paper takes the papers published in the Web of Science in 15 journals of different disciplines as samples and uses the regression analysis method to analyze the possible influencing factors.The results showed that,under the premise of controlling the influential factors of journals,The cited half-life of the cited citations has a significant negative impact on the citation frequency in the 15 journals.The number of citations also has a significant positive correlation with the citation frequency in most journals.The length of the essay will not affect the citation frequency in all the journals,Other factors in different disciplines journals frequency of citation vary widely.based on the research in the third chapter,a total of 44967 papers in 176 journals of the six disciplines in the Web of Science are used as sample data.It is concluded that under the premise of controlling the influential factors of journals,the Price index representing the time dimension has a significant positive correlation with the citation times of the papers in all the journals.In most journals,the number of references and the Shannon Index,which represents interdisciplinarity,also has a significant positive impact on the citation frequency of the dissertation.However,the correlation between the citation frequency of cited citations and the quoted frequency of the dissertation is not obvious.At last,based on the empirical results,this paper puts forward some suggestions on how to make good use of references and other external factors to produce high quality papers,and discusses the rationality of using cited times to evaluate the quality of papers.
