In recent years,e-commerce has fundamentally changed the traditional business model and circulation pattern at an extraordinary speed of development, amplifying the demand for small batches, multiple varieties, diversification and customization released by the Internet to economic society and daily life. The bulky goods are the products of e-commerce and consumers' personalized needs.Customized furniture are the most typical bulky goods, which have the characteristics of large volume, irregular shape and high value. They face high cargo damage rate and handling in logistics distribution.Great challenges such as long time, low vehicle utilization, and waste of material packaging. In order to solve the pain points of urban bulky goods urban distribution,we use data to drive the supply chain based on the concept of Physical Internet,to discuss how to rationally construct and optimize a new model of bulky goods urban distribution and improve the efficiency of urban large-scale logistics distribution. It's also a core issue in the field of urban logistics sustainable development research.Firstly,by combing and analyzing the current situation of domestic and foreign research and related theories, the innovative logistics concept of Physical Internet to the field of bulky goods urban distribution field is applied.Physical Internet's core concept is to use the Internet principle to establish a global open and interconnected logistics network, using a set of collaboration protocols and standardized intelligent interface,to send and receive physical goods carried by standard module carrying tools,to achieve “distribution of goods like sending data packets”,improving distribution efficiency, and create a more efficient supply chain.Secondly,on the basis of combing the Physical Internet theory, using Physical Internet logistics innovation concept to optimize the traditional bulky goods urban distribution mode,we proposed a new framework for bulky goods urban delivery mode, which combines Physical Internet intelligence and modularized hardware, horizontal loading/unloading trucks and Realtime scheduling system. Then, the difference between the new model of bulky goods urban distribution mode and the existing large-scale distribution mode are qualitatively analyzed.Thirdly,in order to verify the feasibility of this model, the factors of benefits and costs for multiple stakeholders are fully considered in the routing problem, combining logistics benefits, vehicle operating costs, vehicle fixed costs.drivers' operating wages, material handling workers' wages. And a mathematical model of vehicle routing problem with simultaneous delivery and pick-up(VRPSDP)and Genetic Algorithm(GA)to plan distribution path are proposed. Finally,in order to verify the effectiveness of the mathematical model and algorithm, the operational feasibility of bulky goods urban distribution mode based on Physical Internet is studied in a real-life case.To further evaluate the economic feasibility of the new model in different environments, sensitivity analysis of different parameters(demand geographic aggregation, multiple economic parameters, and demand periodic fluctuations)are tested. From the perspective of different stakeholders, the total logistics profits of the existing bulky goods distribution model and Physical Internet enabled bulky goods model are compared and analyzed. It provides a decision-making referencefor decision-making for multi-stakeholders to choose a more advantageous bulky goods urban distribution mode.
