China's book publishing industry has a weak sense of integrated management from the perspective of supply chain,and its internal supply chain management operation capability is not strong.These problems are concentrated as a result of a large number of redundant inventories.How to manage this problem has become one of the issues that directly affect the economic efficiency of publishing companies.For A publishing companies,the effectiveness of inventory management has directly affected the results of their business activities.It is of great significance to study how to manage inventory and build appropriate inventory levels,which not only reduces inventory costs,but also affects normal production and customer service.Based on the background of the publishing industry,the specific situation of A-publishing enterprises and the practical experience of the work,this paper conducts applied research on the basis of relevant research.The author has been working for A publishing companies for a long time,and is familiar with the status of internal supply chain operations of the companies,and obtained detailed materials as research basis.Combine the inventory management theory with the actual situation and management needs of A publishing companies,carefully collect statistics and analyze relevant data,so as to raise the problems and solutions of the enterprise inventory management.This paper introduces the business situation,organizational structure,product structure,main business of the company and internal supply chain operation process of A publishing enterprise,analyzes the inventory status of A publishing companies,and analyzes the reasons for inventory generation from the key links of internal supply chain.Guided by the theory of inventory management,the following measures are proposed for the inventory management of A publishing companies.Firstly,conduct research on the internal supply chain warehousing and sort out the existing inventory products.Using ABC classification management ideas,combined with product life cycle theory to classify inventory products,and extend to supply grading,not only facilitates the classification management of products,but also facilitates the accurate implementation of inventory management of individual items,thus effectively controlling inventory.Secondly,for the internal supply chain R & D and production links,using product line management methods,to control the number of products from the source of research and development,improve product quality,and eliminate invalid inventory.Thirdly,according to the supply chain classification idea and the point-of-sale method inventory management idea,the inventory management strategy is integrated for the internal supply chain demand side and the supply end to control the total inventory.Finally,using collaborative planning,forecasting and replenishment(CPFR)management ideas,sales and operations planning(S&OP)management theory,strengthen internal supply chain synergy,improve the accuracy of demand forecasting,and form a closed-loop,benign interaction between demand and supply,to control invalid inventory.The research helps to optimize the inventory structure and quantity,eliminate redundant inventory,reduce inventory costs,balance production supply and sales planning,and improve the operational level and market competitiveness of enterprises.Although the research is based on the specific products of A publishing companies,the inventory management ideas and measures are also of reference for similar companies,and have certain reference value for inventory management of other industries.
