[Purpose]At present, such issues as health care and health management have become the focus of people's concern. With the rapid development of information technology and the Internet of things, wearable technology-related devices have gradually become a hot topic in the field of health care. With the development of the society, the problem of an aging population is getting worse,it is not only the inevitable result of social progress,is also one of the major challenges.Although a more equitable and sustainable social security system with multipillar coverage would be better, and the old-age service system combining medical care with nursing care will be more perfect. However,it is not negligible that the elderly group can rely on their own health management to meet their own old-age care needs. So this article focus on the factors influencing older users use wearable devices, based on the social cognitive theory, respectively from the environment from three aspects of wearable device characteristics and the characteristics of middle-aged and old building model. The research results provide theoretical support and practical guidance for practical problems such as promoting the use of smart wearable devices by middle-aged and elderly users, alleviating the problems caused by the aging population, helping them to realize independent health management and meeting specific pension needs.[Methods]Firstly, through literature analysis and interview, the influencing factors were preliminarily selected and the structural equation model was established.Secondly, questionnaire survey was used to collect information of middle-aged and elderly users, and the data were cleaned and processed.Subsequently,spss21.0 was used for statistical analysis of the data, and then Smart PLS2.0 was used for confirmatory factor analysis to test the model. After obtaining the path coefficients between the variables, the variables with statistical significance were screened out.[Results]The research results show that the path coefficient of "result expectation" is 0.38(P<0.001),and the path coefficient of "self-efficacy" is 0.45(P<0.001).These two factors significantly affect the use intention. The path coefficient of "legislative protection" at the level of environmental factors is 0.29(P<0.001),and the path coefficient of "health awareness" at the level of characteristics of middle-aged and elderly people is 0.35(P<0.001).The two factors significantly affect the self-efficacy of middle-aged and elderly people. The path coefficient of "functional consistency" is 0.42(P<0.001),"perceptual aesthetics" is 0.27(P<0.001),and "alternative experience" is 0.12(P<0.05)for environmental factors. These three factors significantly affect the result expectation of middle-aged and elderly people. The path coefficient of "contact preference" in the characteristics of middle-aged and elderly people is 0.06(P<0.001),while the path coefficient of "refusal to change" is 0.09(P<0.001),which has no significant influence on the self-efficacy of middle-aged and elderly people.[Conclusions]In order to promote the use of smart wearable devices for daily health management of middle-aged and elderly groups and meet the personalized needs of the elderly, wearable device manufacturers should first improve the function, improve the device accuracy, improve the appearance of the device, try to achieve fashion and beauty,so as to close to the expected function of users;Secondly, preventive analysis can be added to improve the health awareness of users,as well as the publicity of wearable devices,so as to increase the confidence of middle-aged and elderly users to use,and thus enhance their willingness to use. Finally,to strengthen the management of personal privacy of wearable devices, relevant departments need to issue laws and regulations to protect users' privacy security, and relevant managers should also do a good job in supervision and management.
