Research On Usability Design Of Intelligent TV Terminal Interface For Middle Aged And Elderly Users

The development of Internet and the progress of TV terminal technology have promoted the wave of intelligent TV terminal industry and changed people's traditional life style.The design of intelligent TV terminal interface tends to be younger and more technical,and its functions and usage are more and more complex,ignoring the use feelings and needs of the main TV users,the middle-aged and elderly users.With the deepening of the aging trend in China,the needs of the middle-aged and the elderly should be paid more attention.In this paper,by combining the existing research basis and empirical research,using the method of usability evaluation,the usability design of intelligent TV terminal interface for middle-aged and elderly users is studied.This topic adopts the method of combining qualitative and quantitative research,mainly divided into the following stages:First of all,based on the theoretical research,the usability theory and methods are summarized,and the interactive characteristics of the intelligent TV interface and the psychological and physiological characteristics of the elderly are sorted out to provide reference for the overall research work.Secondly,from the perspective of the five elements of users,it discusses the interface design of the mainstream intelligent TV terminal products,summarizes its main functions and design features.Through the methods of single person interview and questionnaire survey,we can understand the basic needs,habits and common usability problems of the target users,use Kano model to divide the main functions of the intelligent TV terminal,and sort out the main tasks of the intelligent TV terminal,and use the four quadrant analysis method to select the test tasks of the experiment.Finally,the usability test samples are selected,and the usability level of the intelligent TV terminal product interface is tested by combining the traditional usability evaluation and eye movement experiment.The traditional usability evaluation data,eye movement experiment data and user subjective reports are analyzed,and the usability problems of the interface are mined and explained reasonably.Based on the above results,the design guidance of intelligent TV terminal interface for middle-aged and elderly users is proposed.Combined with the design principles and the list of usability problems,the interface is optimized and tested for comparative usability.Whether the usability problem of the intelligent TV terminal interface is improved verifies the rationality and feasibility of this research.The research methods,processes,usability problems and design principles used in this project can provide some reference for related research.
