Research On User Experience Of Mobile Reading Apps In Public Libraries In China

The development of Internet information technology and the renewal of intelligent terminal have provided a broad living space for mobile reading.As an important public cultural facility in China,public libraries have successively launched mobile reading Apps to meet the increasing mobile and digital reading needs of citizens.In the future,with the 5th generation mobile networks approaching,the mobile reading Apps will meet a new round of development opportunities.How to stick to the position of users and promote the rapid development of user experience is an urgent topic that the public libraries need to think about.Guided by the five-element theory of user experience by Jesse James Garrett and based on related research of previous scholars,this paper conducts a systematic study to develop user experience of mobile reading Apps in public libraries in China by means of literature analysis,questionnaire survey,case analysis and comparative analysis.After investigation and analysis,this paper finds that:The mobile reading Apps in public libraries in China are full of opportunities and challenges.Although 18 public libraries above the provincial level have set up mobile reading Apps for the general public,the whole shows the characteristics of reading content diversification,personalized reading methods,and social scenes.And they are also faced with the difficulties of unobvious reading advantage,serious homogeneity and poor interaction.To this end,the paper uses the mobile library App(public library ver.)as the representative of the quantitative research on the user experience of mobile reading Apps in public libraries,and builds an evaluation model based on content experience,functional experience,interactive experience,browsing experience,aesthetic experience,and user experience effects to explore the current situation of user experience.According to the data analysis,it is known that the content experience,interactive experience and browsing experience have a significant and positive impact on the final user experience effects,which will be the focus of the future development of user experience of mobile reading Apps in public libraries.Therefore,combining with the application environment and development characteristics of the 5th generation mobile networks,the paper puts forward the suggestions of highlighting the advantages of multiple resources,introducing artificial intelligence technology and reducing the cognitive load of the audience,so as to promote the development of the user experience of mobile reading Apps in public libraries in China.
