With the rapid development of mobile Internet technology,smartphone has become a part of our daily life.There are thousands of APPs(APPlication,referred as APP)developed based on smartphone systems in market meeting the need of mobile phone users,which bring us not only great surprise but also great convenience to our daily life.Broad market prospects for mobile APPlications has prompted businesses to continuously improve the performance of the mobile phone APP;but in competitive environment of today,the overall performance between all kinds of APPs are very little,so in order to enhance the competitiveness of product,improving the user experience of mobile phone APP became the first choice of business.Currently,Evaluation research on user experience especially about mobile phone is mainly got through subjective questionnaire,but this method is simple and lacking support of objective data.Given the above background,this paper based on eye tracking experiment,combine with traditional subjective questionnaires and objective eye tracking data,from two aspects to evaluate user experience of mobile phone APPs and suppose design recommendations about product optimization according to the results of the evaluation.In this article,Instant Messenger(referred as IM)the most widely used Software in mobile APPs was selected as object of research.The main jobs that this thesis has done are as follows:(1)Using multidimensional scaling and cluster analysis method,dividing 30 IM APPs into 4 categories,choose 8 APPs from 4 categories as representative products to research.(2)Using brainstorm,panel discussions and literature review to collect user experiences word pairs;then,making questionnaire survey with semantic differential scale.After that,project analysis and factor analysis are APPlied to analyze the survey results,and then select APPropriate user experience word pairs and classify those words.Finally,create a user experience subjective evaluation questionnaires.(3)Using morphological analysis,eye tracking experiment,expert interviews and literature review to select design elements of 8 kinds of products,then determine the design elements and design level of 8 representative products.(4)Make eye tracking experiment on 8 IM APPs,fill out subjective evaluation questionnaires after experiment.Collect and analysis subjective and objective data with SPSS,extract significant impacts eye tracking index in user experience.(5)Code 8 software design elements to 0-1 with Quantitative Theory I;Make it as independent variable,user experience score and eye tracking index as the dependent variable,establish the relationship model with partial least squares regression(PLSR)and verify it.(6)Using the relational model established to analyze and compare with IM APPs,select the best design combination and put forward comments and suggestions to optimization of existing software.
