Research And Implementation Of Host Performance Of Remote Monitoring Based On Simple Network Management Protocol

With the rapid social and economic development as well as the rapidadvances in IT technology, modern network applications in people’s workinglives is playing an increasingly important role, both in government agencies,enterprises, institutions, colleges and universities or individual’s daily lifemedium. Also, people are gradually realized the importance of networkmanagement, how to improve the enterprises and network reliability and security,effective maintenance and management of these IT resources will be the ke yissue. The IT resource management in the enterprise, for the host device as a coremanagement is critical, because the networks are typically support multipleoperating systems and host, service operation is to protect the stability of thehost-based, and therefore the host performance monitoring put forward higherrequirements.This article is based on Simple Network Management Protocol, for remotecentralized monitoring host performance in research and implementation. Hostperformance remote centralized monitoring system can real-time monitoring塔e1300hosts in local area network, related to the basic application, integratedapplications, ERP and business operations of the subsidiary bodies of the host.Able to achieve7*24hours on host performance, including CPU, memory, filesystem, process and other aspects of real-time monitoring, to ensure monitoringobject and the actual elements consistent, the collection of host performance datacan be shown by the visualized reports which is analyzed to support earlywarning of the risks that may exist in the host system, while likely to occur orhas already occurred fault alarms.This paper firstly analyzes the development status at home and abroad of themonitoring system, and introduces the definition, the index and the functions ofperformance management. The paper also introduces the basic concept, theworking principle and application in performance monitoring of Simple NetworkManagement Protocol. The paper proposes the design goals and design principlesof performance monitoring system and presents system structure of the monitoring system. According the design requirement and design principle, thefunction module is designed to achieve the performance monitoring, includingdata acquisition module, system management module, management module,alarm module and report module, which are analyzed in detail, also theimplementation results of the main function module are given and the hostremote monitoring examples are shown. At the end, performance monitoringsystem is tested in accordance with the principle of design and the test results arepresented.
