Design And Implementation Of A Wired And Wireless Integrated Network Performance Management System

With the combination of computer and telecommunication, the network has been involved with our daily life. The network management inspects network equipment, gets performance data then makes analysis and control in order to make it sure that network system works credibly and efficiently, which can manage the new problem that the development of network brings. In this thesis, the problem of wired and wireless integrated network performance management is investigated.Based on the analysis of the characteristics and limits of current network management, a wired and wireless integrated network performance management module program based on Simple Network Management Protocol(SNMP)is designed and implemented. This module is implemented in JAVA language, and the performance data is collected through Management Information Base(MIB)node. The functions includes the gathering of the performance data regularly from the network equipment, the analysis of these data, the transmission of the warning messages, and the query service about historical data through WEB browser. At last, tests were carried out, the result shows it achieves the expected and meets the users'need.
