During the period from 1926 to 1940,the Changsha Journalists Association,as the largest and most leading news organization in Hunan, played a vital role in the Changsha press.Studying the Changsha Journalists' Federation is of great significance for us to understand the development of the Changsha press in the Republic of China, and it also gives us a perspective of the Changsha Republic of China journalists from a macro perspective.Scholars have been studying journalism groups in the Republic of China. Some scholars have started from the perspective of the rise of professional awareness of journalism groups, and some scholars have diversified their research angles from the perspective of journalists' professional identity.Scholars mostly surround Beijing,Shanghai and other places with rich historical data, but ignore the situation of news organizations in Hunan,Chongqing and other provinces that have also played an important role in the history of journalism. One of the purposes of this thesis is to study the journalist groups in Hunan and try to supplement the research of news groups. The foundation of historical research is historical data, and the study of specialized history is inseparable from reliable historical data.In order to better grasp the relevant data and do our best, the sources of data sought include:HuXiang Library,Chaoxing,China National Books Library and other databases. The most important data relied on by this research institute is the historical data related to the Hunan area of the"Reorganization and Research of Historical Materials for the History of News in the Century".The establishment of news organizations is one of the external manifestations of professionalism in journalism.Although the group of journalists is called the"Uncrowned King",it does not have a social status consistent with its reputation. In order to strengthen the unity of journalists in the province and fight for more rights and interests, the Changsha Journalists Federation was established in 1926 and 1930,respectively.For the study of the Changsha Journalists Association,I will discuss the organization process of the group, the management of members, the rights and interests of journalists, the management of the National Government and the professionalism of the Journalists Association. The main findings of this study are as follows:1.The organization of the Changsha Journalists Association is more comprehensive than the journalists' associations of other provinces in the same period. In addition, the Changsha Journalists Association has a strong organizational planning ability, which can continuously improve the organizational structure and make it operate normally as the society changes.2.The Changsha Journalists 'Federation and the journalists' associations in other regions have just set up the same goal, they are pursuing freedom of the press and hope to protect the rights and interests of more journalists, but in the implementation process, they are undoubtedly dancing".Unlike other journalist groups in other provinces, which are more forced to be controlled by the government, members of important organizations of the Changsha Journalists Association are also undermining the Journalists Association while enjoying its benefits.3.For the news media to maintain its own objectivity,it is necessary to treat political affairs carefully. The Changsha Journalists Association is actively participating, which is also the opposite of its professional requirements.4.The Federation of Journalists actively participated in social affairs and promoted the development of Hunan society. However, for the group of journalists in Changsha and the news circles in Changsha, the establishment of professional associations of journalists' unions has played a minimal role in their professionalization.Based on the research data,we have come to a conclusion:the Changsha Journalists Association has played a role that cannot be ignored in protecting journalists and social affairs, but it cannot change the reality that its development is affected by many factors such as the National Government. The degree of professionalism of the Changsha Journalists Association is relatively low.
