Since the new century, great changes have taken place in people’s life and spirit. The positive influence of these changes need not wordy, but the native consequences are like a shadow following behind. A considerable number of journalists lack of professionalism. So the public raise questions on this phenomenon. At the same time, an advanced requirement is raised for journalism education in universities. So, how do quasi-journalists think of the career they would be engaged in? Do they know what they should do? And the answers to these questions can gather to a concept——professional identity.In this paper, students in Journalism in five universities of Jiangsu Province are selected as subject investigated. Questionnaire and interviewing are used in this paper.500questionnaires are released in five universities in Jiangsu Province. The paper illustrates this feature concretely from six different aspects. And the study found, quasi-journalists’ professional identity is in the level of middle class. The students are expectant and incredulous. In the paper, reasons are raised form the view of macroscopic meso-level and microcosmic. And several countermeasures are put forward aiming at the reasons. The level of professional identity of quasi-journalists could be promoted by improving the education and media environment.
