Education and the people was founded by Jiangsu Provincial Institute of education in May 1929.At the beginning of its establishment,it was adhering to the purpose of making academic contributions by studying the academic principles and implementation methods of people's education,gathering the leading figures in the field of people's education at that time,and gathering excellent editors and authors.At that time,it was not only the first to publish foreign people's education theories,but also the first to spread them It also studies the problems existing in the domestic popular education theory,and timely reports the progress of the local public construction.Its research on the public education can be said to be the bull's ear of the popular education journals at that time.In the face of such a rich content,if all the research is carried out,it will appear that there is no primary or secondary,complex and disordered.Therefore,the author tries to explore the historical value of education and the people from the research of the people's education.At the beginning of the rise of popular education,the Journal of education and the people defined its concept and content by comparing with the popular education and social education.And the connotation of education can be summed up into two points:Political Education and people's livelihood education.This paper also discusses the two basic implementation organs of public education-public schools and public education centers,points out the problems faced by the enrollment,grade establishment and curriculum setting of public schools,and puts forward corresponding suggestions for improvement;summarizes the organizational facilities of public education centers,and probes into their reform and outlet problems.Finally,we set up a special number to explore the role of public education in social production and local autonomy.At present,the study of education and the people is still in a weak stage,and the works that specially introduce the people and education have not appeared.Most of the existing achievements are focused on a certain point of the journal.The achievements are scattered and the research direction has not been fully developed.Therefore,the study of public education in education and the people has certain space and valueThis paper takes the research on the theory of popular education in education and the people as the research topic.Based on the previous research results and using historical research methods,this paper summarizes and analyzes the research on the theory of popular education in education and the people.The full text is divided into four parts:the first part is the introduction,which describes the current research status and paves the way for the following.The second part analyzes the background of the founding of education and the people,and introduces the author,editor and column of education and the people in detail.The third part elaborates the theoretical discussion of the concept,purpose,implementation organ and function of public education in education and the public.The fourth part is the conclusion,which briefly analyzes the value and deficiency of education and the people in the study of the theory of public education.
