Yan’an period is one of the most famous period in the history of the party, and is the relatively successful period of public education career in the border region. Public education in yan’an period has played an important role at the time, the practical experience is worthy of our study and draw lessons from in the new situation. Therefore, this thesis by combing and inspection on the Mass’s practice of public education in yan’an period, in order to draw lessons from her practice experience,to promote public education through mass media in the new period,especially the farmers’ideological political education work, looking for something that can provide reference for the construction of socialist new countryside.This thesis mainly research the Mass of yan’an period, and the relevant documents of the party, by collecting and organizing of relevant historical materials, by absorb the predecessors’research results, to comb and inspect the Mass’s practice of public education in yan’an period. Firstly, this thesis has made the detailed introduction to the founded background and development trajectory, her trajectory can be divided into three stages:the start-up stage, the reform stage, the Mass tortuous development stage. The thesis from the various stages in the history to analyze her feature, to make a longitudinal study of her history. On these basis, to inspect the content of her public education practice and the method. The content of the Mass’public education mainly includes literacy education, agricultural production and life common sense education,ideological and political education; Education ways mainly have the reading newspaper and literacy group, slack winter learning, the people’s education museum, wall paper and blackboard, and so on. Further analysis can be found that the characteristics of the Mass’public education practice, including firmly political, clear epochal character, specific content, diversity of the way. Thus, her successful public education has accumulated valuable experience, its importance to pay attention to the party members and cadres’ideal and belief education, strengthen the investigation and study, pay attention to the strategy of propaganda left a precious wealth for us, for our current construction of new socialist countryside, improve the rural ideological and political education work has important enlightenment. Finally, the concluding part of the thesis, the author gives a brief summary, and expounds the innovation of the article, pointed out that not mentioned in this thesis, and the related issues of the Mass’public education in the field of further research was discussed.As the mouthpiece of the party, the Mass closely around the party’s central task, use various forms of public education, spread a lot of ideological and political education information, to encourage their thoughts and behavior actively moving closer to the party, understand and believe in marxism, support the party’s Anti-Japanese War. So to speak, the public education practice of yan’an period is the successful history of ideological and political education.
