The Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022 is the first Winter Olympics held in Chinese history.After 14 years,the Olympic flame was ignited again in China.Now it has entered the countdown stage,and everyone is urgently needed to increase the focus on snow sports.The social media represented by Sina Weibo gave the Winter Olympic champion a platform for self-presentation.The Winter Olympic champion carried out information transmission and self-realization by posting pictures on Weibo.Therefore,in this process,what kind of self-presentation behavior the Winter Olympics champion performs through Sina Weibo pictures has become an urgent problem to be studied.Therefore,this study takes the Winter Olympic champion as the research object,selects Goffman's self-presentation as the theoretical perspective,and uses text analysis,literature data,and mathematical analysis methods to study the Winter Olympic champion's self-presentation on Sina Weibo pictures.Focusing on exploring the gender differences in the self-presentation of champions is a good way to understand the self-presentation of the Winter Olympic champions on Sina Weibo.The study found that from the perspective of dramaturgical theory,the front and back of the Winter Olympics champion are clear and show the true image of the champion.From the perspective of impression management,the male Winter Olympics champion and the female Winter Olympics champion appear differently.The Winter Olympics champions show high self-monitoring.They take the responsibility of the new media of the Chinese Olympic champion athletes to spread positively.Since Sina Weibo is China's most influential social media platform,and picture publishing is an important function of Sina Weibo,It is of certain reference significance to further study the social media images of athletes in ice and snow sports and the comparison of social media images of both sexes.
