Since the reform and opening up,with the rapid development of China's economy,people's demand for high-quality public services is growing.At the same time,public libraries are an important part of the socialist public cultural service system.Public libraries provide good services according to the needs of users,which is the best response to the growing cultural needs of the people.Guangzhou Library is one of the most important public service institutions provided by Guangzhou Municipal Government.From the perspective of user satisfaction,this paper understands the user service situation of Guangzhou Library,constructs appropriate evaluation indicators by referring to relevant research literature,analyses the problems existing in the user service of Guangzhou Library,and puts forward improvement countermeasures,which can guide the development of modern urban public libraries in China.It has certain practical significance.Based on the theory of public service and satisfaction,combining with the characteristics of Guangzhou Library,this paper studies the improvement of service quality of Guangzhou Library from the aspects of library building and facilities,library literature resources and accessibility,library staff,library related services and effects,and library overall image.Through investigation,there are some problems in Guangzhou's library service,such as insufficient human resources and unreasonable structure of talent team;limited use of venues and facilities;lack of effective librarians' evaluation and incentive mechanism;and insufficient training of users' civilized reading.In view of the problems and cause s of the public service supply of Guangzhou Library,this paper,by drawing lessons from the relevant experience of public libraries at home and abroad,proposes to improve the construction of service mechanism oriented by users' needs,fully understand and meet users' needs,actively introduce social forces to participate in the construction of libraries,and establish a reasonable assessment by formulating and implementing the talent team construction plan.Incentive system,improve the level of library personnel construction;through visits,education methods,improve the comprehensive quality of users and other strategies,these strategies help Guangzhou Library to improve its public services,improve user satisfaction.
