This paper aims to explore the similarities and differences in the level of geometric thinking in the content of "figure and geometry" in the junior high school mathematics textbooks published by PEP and BNU,and to investigate the situation that the two editions of junior high school mathematics textbooks widely used in China conform to the cognitive law of students' geometry learning.Therefore,this paper takes the junior high school mathematics textbooks published by PEP and BNU as the research objects,and adopts the methods of content analysis and comparison.Set the following research questions: what are the similarities and differences of knowledge points of different geometric thinking levels? What are the similarities and differences in the level and trend of geometric thinking in different grades? What are the similarities and differences in the geometric thinking level of different themes? The conclusions are as follows: the two editions of textbooks focus on the cultivation of " analysis " level;In the seventh grade and the eighth grade,the two editions pay attention to the development of geometric thinking level;Compared with the PEP,the textbooks of BNU pay more attention to the cultivation of " visuality " level.The following suggestions are given: the textbooks of PEP should pay attention to the cultivation of " visuality " level;The two editions of textbooks should pay attention to the cultivation of students' geometric thinking in the ninth grade;Teachers should choose the right teaching materials according to students' logical thinking ability.
