The textbook is the main source of teaching content, an important carrier of the teaching activities. The pros and cons of textbook quality directly affect the achievement of the goals of teaching. Textbook evaluation is an important part of the curriculum evaluation. Textbook review has a very important role to assess the quality of the course, teaching effectiveness and teaching objectives realization. Since the new curriculum reform, to propose and implement the diverse materials for strengthening the construction of primary and secondary school textbooks will undoubtedly have an important role. Reform makes the version of textbook and content get rich gradually, makes the course structure get reasonable increasingly, make the quality of textbook continue to improve. Reform makes the textbook writers and the publishers attach importance to the quality of textbooks. However, the textbooks diversification situation expected did not appear. Practice shows that teaching material reforms over the years not only failed to meet the needs of teaching reform, and unable to cope with a variety of impact and influence. In the face of such situation, further strengthened the evaluation of textbooks is an urgent problem to be solved. What kind of textbook is high quality? Based on our studies on textbook, we must study for further exploration of the education idea and the education system in other developed countries. Combined with actual situation in China, we should select the essence and discard the dross. And there will be certain enlightenment to our textbook research and compilation of textbooks evaluation standard.This study selected the mainland China. Taiwan. Hong Kong, the United States, Japan, Germany and Britain, a total of seven countries or regions as the research objects. Based on literature research and content analysis in the study, original data of countries or regions would be analyzed directly to get know their universality and individuality of these standards, and put forward some suggestions to our textbook evaluation. Combine with the contents of this paper, and summarizes the characteristics of these textbooks evaluation, it can be concluded the following conclusion:1、The textbook evaluations exist in common:Pay attention to the consistency of the curriculum standard, the accuracy of contents, the breadth and depth of contents and the order of contents. On the teaching methods, the textbook examination standards pay more attention to the capacity-building. The textbook assessment standards value learners’ adaptability, ability training, teaching, assessment and teaching evaluation, etc. In characterization, the textbook examination standards and assessment standards focus on the language and physical representation, such as page design, etc.2、The textbook evaluations have significant difference:①The textbooks examination standard in Hong Kong is the most comprehensive on content, followed by China.②The textbooks examination standard in the United States is the most comprehensive on the teaching methods.③The textbooks examination standard in Taiwan is the most comprehensive on the characterization.④The textbook assessment standards pay more attention to the teaching methods than the textbook examination standards.On this basis, we can put forward the following four-point proposal:1、Put the present important values into the textbook evaluation criteria.2、To evaluate if the content of textbooks emphasize security issues.3、Pay more attention to the textbooks and teachers’ adaptability.4、Attach great importance to the students’ feedback, make the teaching evaluation form diversification.
