These years,cultivating student's mathematics core literacy has become a topic of concern in China.And geometric intuitive level is one of the important indicators of intuitive imagination literacy in the core literacy.According to the research on the training of geometric intuition ability in recent years,most of the research objects are aimed at the primary school students,and the research on the junior middle school students' geometric intuition ability is relatively less.Most of the research contents are embodied in the sections of “figure and geometry” and “number and Algebra”.Therefore,the purpose of this article is to understand eighth grade students' geometric intuitive level currently,and to offer some proposals to cultivate students' geometric intuition,the last to find a new direction of teaching reform.There are four aspects in this study.First,read literature and distinguish relevant concepts of geometric intuition;Secondly,compile the test paper and understand students' geometric intuitive level currently;Thirdly,communicate with teachers to analyze students' problems;Fourthly,offer some proposals to cultivate students' geometric intuition at present.According to the students' test results and communicating with teachers,the author concludes conclusions as follow: First,the overall performance of the students tested was very good,with a large number of students in the middle level.Second,the level of understanding issues with the graphics and solving problems is relatively low.Thirdly,there is a significant positive correlation between students' ability of overall.Fourth,statistically,the comparison between male and female students in the geometric intuitive level is not obvious.However,male students is slightly better than female students on average as a whole.Fifth,teachers have no deep understanding of the meaning of geometric intuition.They all think it is important to cultivate students' geometric intuition in teaching,but the teachers teach little knowledge about geometric meaning when they teach formula,mathematical concepts and theorem in the actual.Finally,the factors that affect geometric intuition ability can be divided into students and teachers.
