Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of tonifying qi,nourishing blood and tongbi in the treatment of hand-foot syndrome after chemotherapy in colorectal cancer by clinical observation. Methods: In this study, patients with hand-foot syndrome who were admitted to the inpatient department of anorectal department of Hunan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2020 to December 2020 were selected.Sixty patients who met the inclusion criteria were divided into the observation group and the control group with 30 patients in each group according to the random number table method. All patients received capecitabine chemotherapy regimen. The observation group was given the traditional Chinese medicine prescription of "nourishing qi,nourishing blood and tongbi" as the basic treatment + vitamin B6 orally, and the control group was given vitamin B6 orally.Three weeks for a course of treatment,a total of two courses of treatment. Before and after treatment,HFS grade,NRS grade,KPS score,TCM syndrome score and safety assessment were respectively conducted. After the course of treatment, the data were statistically analyzed and the efficacy and safety were evaluated. Results: Among the 60 patients included,1 case was lost in the observation group and 1 case in the control group, and there was no significant difference in general data between the two groups(P>0.05).(1)Efficacy of HFS: The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(89.65% vs 55.17%,P=0.00).(2)NRS grade of pain: the total remission rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(93.10% vs 58.62%,P=0.00).(3)KPS score:the score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.034).(4)TCM syndrome score: compared with the control group, the observation group was more able to improve the TCM symptoms of patients in terms of skin nail fault, skin rash shape, pain, complexion and fatigue, with statistical significance(P<0.05);There was no statistical significance in numbness and dizziness of hands and feet(P>0.05).The total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(93.1% vs 68.96%,P=0.041).(5)Safety indicators: patients in the two groups were in good condition in general, with no abnormal laboratory indicators affected by the test drugs found in blood routine, liver function, renal function, urine routine, stool routine and ECG examination, and no serious toxic and side effects occurred. Conclusion: Based on the results of this clinical study, the method of tonifying qi,nourishing blood and tongbi can improve the clinical symptoms of patients, reduce the HFS grade, improve the quality of life of patients with good safety. The results showed that the method of nourishing qi and nourishing blood to pass bi is safe and effective in the treatment of hand foot syndrome after chemotherapy for colorectal cancer.
