Research On The Impact Of Digital Transformation On Corporate Strategic Performance

With the progressing of underlying digital technologies,such as blockchain,cloud computing and big data,and of rising of the digital economy,the industrial structure and economic growth pattern have been profoundly affected.On the one hand,the degree of digitalization of enterprises is rapidly increasing by "penetration" and "enabling" of digital technology;on the other hand,the accelerated expansion of digital industrialization has become a new profit growth point.For this reason,digital transformation has become a hot issue of discussion in the theoretical and practical circles.Most of the existing researches focus on the significance and basic mode of digital transformation,however,the reason why it would affect the corporate strategic performance and its mechanism and path of digital transformation are about the lack of necessary combing.A case study of Inner Mongolia Electric Power Company is presented in this paper,combining the strategies,ideas,measures and methods of the digital transformation development of sample companies,using the balanced scorecard as the evaluation method.According to four aspects: learning and growth,customers,internal business processes and finance,the weight of each indicator was set through selecting performance evaluation indicators and using analytic hierarch process.The strategic performance evaluation system was also built,the effect and path of digital transformation on the company's strategic performance was discussed in this paper.This study concluded that: in the digital transformation,company's strategic performance at the learning and growth level was improved via talent innovation and technological innovation;customer-level company strategic performance was improved by optimizing the business environment,"three zero" services,spreading of live work and mobile apps,etc.;strategic performance at the internal process level was rationalized by increasing the coverage of smart meters and investment in power grid construction,and by promoting standardized project management.At the same time,the strategic performance at the financial level improved by developing an integrated platform and establishing power market trading institutions.Based on the policy basis,this paper finally sort out the influence path of digital transformation on corporate strategic performance,clarified the necessity of formulating a digital transformation strategy and specific implementation plan in the process of digital transformation of enterprises.Also,the path of the impact of various measures of digital transformation on enterprise performance was defined,practical enlightenment such as the effect evaluation system of digital transformation was described.
