Research On The Design Of Outdoor Activity Space For Children In Residential Area Based On Five Senses

The construction of residential areas in modern cities pays more and more attention to children's outdoor activity areas.The outdoor activity space provides a pleasant activity space for children's growth and also has a certain effect on children's healthy growth.Humans perceive this diverse and rich world through the five senses of sight,hearing,smell,taste,and touch.This article takes the particularity of children's five senses as the starting point,analyzes children's five senses' cognition,and combines the five senses' connections to explore the development trend of the five senses design of children's outdoor activity spaces in residential areas in my country.In the process of growing up,children will form different behavioral characteristics in the outdoor activity field.At this stage,there are still some problems in the landscape design of children's outdoor activities in residential areas in China.This paper studies children's perception of landscape elements of outdoor activity sites in different age groups,analyzes the differences of children's perception in different age groups,and concludes that children of different age groups have different needs for landscape environment.To this end,field research was conducted to study the requirements of children's five senses on the site environment,and a summary of the design method of outdoor activity space venues in children's residential areas that meet the five senses of the human body was summarized.The main research purpose of this paper is to analyze the particularity of children's five senses,so as to consider the design of children's outdoor activity space in the residential area in the future,and to add and put forward a theoretical method that conforms to the design of landscape elements of children's five senses.Based on the study of related literature at home and abroad on the basis of the integration of theory and innovation thinking,through literature research,on-the-spot investigation method,data analysis,comprehensive induction and other methods,This paper conducts in-depth research on the five senses of children and the outdoor activity space design of children in the current residential area.The main research work and results are summarized as follows:This study analyzes that children's five-sense perception characteristics are different from those of adults.Through investigation and analysis of problems in children's outdoor activity venues in urban residential areas.Through the design of questionnaires and data analysis,the order of children's sensory needs is focused on vision,hearing,touch,smell and taste.And different auditory factors will have a certain impact on visual aesthetics.Secondly,through field investigation,this article verifies the rationality and necessity of the design ofchildren's outdoor activity space for the five senses,and provides a certain practical basis for creating an outdoor activity space that meets the characteristics of children's five senses.Finally,based on the characteristics of children's behavior,a five-sense design method for the basic components of children's outdoor activity spaces in residential areas is proposed.
