Research On The Sustainability Of Children’s Participation In Community Governance From The Perspective Of Action ——Taking The "children’s Council" Project Of H Street In Shanghai As An Example

Since the United Nations issued the Convention on the Rights of the Child,"child participation" has attracted worldwide attention.The development of children is related to the future of a country,but to promote children’s development in the adult world,it is not only necessary to protect children’s most basic rights to survival,protection and development,but also to pay attention to children’s right to participate.In the area of community participation,children’s participation not only enhances their own growth and development,but also promotes the development of democracy in the communities where children live.Since children’s community participation has become the focus of widespread concern in the adult world,how to build a suitable community environment for children to participate in has become a further concern.Based on this,this research takes "children’s community participation" as the starting point,based on the professional practice of social work,by participating in the "Children’s Council" project of H Street,to explore the role of various actors（street women’s federations,social work institutions,children and families in the community）in the When building a child-friendly community public space,the content of their actions and the logic behind them,and on the basis of the former,further explore the sustainability of children’s participation in community governance.The research found that adult subjects follow their own logic of action when constructing a suitable environment for children to participate in the community: First,the street women’s federation,as the subject of grassroots administrative responsibility,plays the role of guide in the construction process,and is guided by rational logic.Second,the social work agency assumes the role of "connector" in the process of "children’s community participation",and is driven by its own mission and mission to follow an intersecting logic of action;Third,children and families in the community play the roles of "supporters" and "facilitators",forming perceptual action logic under the parenting logic of "collaborative cultivation".In the process of building child-friendly community public spaces,community women’s federations,as the main body of grass-roots administrative responsibility,inject institutional support into child-friendly community public spaces;social work agencies,as connectors,bring professional service projects to community public spaces;Families serve as direct contacts for children in the community,infusing emotional support into child-friendly spaces.The action mechanism constructed by the Street Women’s Federation under the administrative logic,the new hierarchical structure formed under the social work organization’s value service logic,and the establishment of community social capital under the children’s family growth logic enables the different wills of the three action subjects to be coupled at the same point.This research hopes to build a friendly community for children,in order to summarize and promote the successful experience of the project,and open up a broad space for children’s healthy growth and personality development.
