In his nineteen major report,General Secretary Xi Jinping mentioned that building a powerful country in education is a basic project for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.We must give priority to education,speed up the modernization of education and run the education of people’s satisfaction.Curriculum reform is imperative,starting from the problems of the reality of the classroom,to determine the core of education reform.According to the situation of physical education in China and the implementation of teaching reform,Chinese sports scholars have carried out a lot of new teaching methods,such as understanding teaching method,scaffolding teaching method,task driven teaching method,dynamic hierarchical teaching method,process teaching method and so on.Through reading literature and consulting physical education teaching methods in CNKI and the library of Taiwan Sports University,this paper conducts PBL teaching experiment,and uses PBL teaching method for reference in basketball,tennis,dragon and lion dance,cheerleading and other projects.This paper systematically combs and summarizes the theory of PBL teaching method combined with the requirements of physical education teaching method,and summarizes and explores the research suitable for basketball general course.In this paper,PBL teaching method is applied to the general basketball course in Jining University.Through reading the literature and the guidance of relevant experts and teachers,the specific contents of the research are determined: basic basketball skills(dribbling back and forth,one hand shoulder shot in situ,three-step layup),physical fitness,problem-solving ability,communication and cooperation ability.By using the methods of literature review,questionnaire survey,teaching experiment and mathematical statistics,the students of grade 2020 in Jining University were selected as the research objects,and a total of 16 weeks and 32 class hours of teaching experiments were conducted.According to the basic basketball skills and physical quality of the students in the two classes,the two classes are divided into experimental group and control group,with 80 students in total.There are 30 boys and 10 girls in the experimental class.There were 29 boys and 11 girls in the control group.Using SPSS software to analyze the data obtained after the teaching experiment,the following conclusions are drawn(1)After 16 weeks of teaching experiment,the physical fitness of the experimental group and the teaching group were tested(P > 0.05).There was no significant difference in physical fitness between the two groups.Whether PBL teaching method has an impact on physical fitness remains to be explored.(2)After 16 weeks of teaching experiment,the comprehensive ability(learning interest,analysis,discovery,problem-solving ability,cooperation and communication ability)of the experimental group and the control group were tested(P < 0.05).It shows that there is a significant difference in the comprehensive ability of the two groups,and the comprehensive ability score of the experimental group is higher than that of the control group,which shows that PBL teaching method is better than conventional teaching method To improve students’ comprehensive ability.(3)After 16 weeks of teaching experiment,the basic basketball skills of the experimental group and the control group were tested(P < 0.05).There were significant differences in the basic basketball skills of the two groups(dribbling back and forth,standing one handed shoulder shot,moving layup(three-step layup)).And the average score of the experimental group is higher than that of the control group,which shows that PBL teaching method can better improve students’ basic basketball skills compared with the conventional teaching method.
