Research Objective: The purpose of this study is to explore the application effect of the play and stay teaching method in the teaching of basketball modules in ordinary high schools,give full play to the main position of students in teaching,and design the experimental process according to the characteristics of students ’ physical and mental development and gender differences in a fun and easy-to-learn way,so that students can master the basic skills of basketball in a happy atmosphere,their physical quality can be appropriately improved,and gradually form a relatively stable interest in learning,and their emotional state can be effectively improved.Research Methods: This study takes the students of class 12(control class)and class 13(experimental class)of senior high school in Jinan Middle School of Shandong Province as the experimental subjects.Through the methods of literature,expert interview,Delphi,questionnaire,experiment and mathematical statistics,this paper studies the application of play and stay teaching method in ordinary high school basketball module.The total number of students in each class is 40,including 18 boys and 22 girls.The control class is taught by “traditional teaching method”,and the experimental class is taught by “play and stay teaching method”.In addition to the pre-test of the first week and the post-test of the last week,the formal experiment lasted for 12 weeks,3 classes per week,45 minutes per class,a total of 36 hours.Before the experiment,the specific test indicators were determined,and the tests were carried out before and after the experiment.The results of students ’ physical fitness,basketball skills,interests and emotions were compared and analyzed by using independent sample T test,paired sample T test and covariance statistical method to verify the applicability and teaching effect of the play and stay teaching method.Research Results:(1)After 12 weeks of basketball classes in the control class and the experimental class,the paired sample T test found that the physical fitness levels of the two classes of students have improved,but the covariance analysis found that the experimental class boys and girls 1000 meters run / 800 meters run The results were significantly better than the control class boys and girls.(2)After 12 weeks of basketball lessons in the control class and the experimental class,the independent sample T test found that in the quantitative evaluation of basketball skills,the girls in the experimental class scored only slightly higher than the girls in the control class on the half-court round-trip dribbling layup test.However,in terms of other indicators,the scores of boys and girls in the experimental class were significantly higher than those in the control class.In the qualitative evaluation of basketball skills,the scores of male and female students in the experimental class were better than those in the control class in the three test items.(3)After 12 weeks of basketball lessons in the control class and the experimental class,the paired sample T test found that the learning interest of the two classes of students has been improved,and the emotional state has also been improved accordingly.However,the covariance analysis found that in terms of sports learning interest,the boys in the experimental class scored significantly higher in the total score,’ positive interest ’,’ independent and inquiry learning ’ and ’ sports participation ’ than the boys in the control class,but there was no significant difference in other scores;the girls in the experimental class scored significantly better than the girls in the control class in terms of ’ sports participation ’,while there was no significant difference in other aspects.In terms of emotional state,there was a significant difference in the scores of ’ depression ’and ’ energy ’ between male and female students in the two subitems,and there was a very significant difference in the ’ fatigue ’ sub-item,while there was no significant difference in other aspects.Research Conclusions:(1)After 12 weeks of experiments,a large amount of data shows that the play and stay teaching method has certain advantages over the traditional teaching method in improving students ’ physical quality,especially for the endurance quality of male and female students and the development of male jumping ability.Although the traditional teaching method has also improved the physical quality of students,the effect is not significant.(2)After 12 weeks of experiment,a large amount of data shows that the play and stay teaching method has more advantages than the traditional teaching method in mastering basketball skills.Through comparison,it is found that the play and stay teaching method has significantly improved students ’ dribbling speed and shooting percentage.The basketball technical level of the experimental class is generally better than that of the control class.Although the traditional teaching method also has a certain effect on the teaching effect,but it is still relatively weak compared with the play and stay teaching method.(3)After 12 weeks of experiment,a large number of data show that the play and stay teaching method has more advantages than the traditional teaching method in improving learning interest and bad mood,especially in the aspects of male and female students ’ active participation in sports and improving depression and fatigue,as well as male students ’ positive interest and independent inquiry of learning.Although the traditional teaching method can also have a certain impact on students ’ interests and emotions,the effect is not significant.
