The mathematical curriculum in compulsory education is basic,universal and developmental,so that students could acquire basic mathematical knowledge and necessary skills.It can cultivate students’ abstract thinking,reasoning ability and practical ability to solve problems,and develop their comprehensive literacy.Affected by many factors,the number of underachieving students in primary school increases with the increase of the grade,which is in contradiction with the basic idea that the compulsory mathematics curriculum.Compulsory mathematics curriculum is oriented to all students,and everyone can have good mathematics education.Meantime,the sixth grade of primary school is at the critical stage of elementary school,and the failure of mathematical pupils will have negative impact on their middle school mathematical studies.According to this situation,I chose to transform backward pupils as my research question.This study mainly uses interview,observation and action research method,and analyzes the main reason of backward pupils and proposes the transformation action plan.I take six grade student Xiao Wang as example.Through the research,Xiao Wang has the characteristics of low learning interest,poor learning quality and poor learning performance.The main reason of Xiao Wang is his low self-efficiency,low effective supervision,and poor mathematical core nutrients.The researchers carried out three times actions to address the main problems of Xiao Wang.First,to improve self-efficacy and consolidate basic knowledge;second,to improve learning quality;third,to develop mathematical skills.After three actions,Xiao Wang’s academic achievement has been significantly improved.
