Underachievers is one of the signs of the modern "education pathology",has become a problem of the field of education. This paper presents the status quo ofChinese language underachievers by investigating Chinese underachievers of XXprimary school. At the same time, it analysis the reason and types of the Chineseunderachievers, then it proposes some countermeasures and suggestions to transformthe Chinese underachievers.The study found that,"underachievers" is formed in a special environment. Atpresent, the status of Chinese underachievers in XX primary school is, middle-agedperiod of about8%-10%or so, rose slightly in higher grades, probably in the10%-15%(taking class as a unit). Relative to other tool subjects (English, math),Chinese is as a native language, and the number of Chinese underachievers is slightlymore because its learning capacity and the degree of difficulty are higher, The mainreasons of its formation as follows: first, students are lacking of initiative learning, thesecond, students lack of the method of reading, the third, students’ Chinese readingability is low, the forth, students are full of fear of psychological, the fifth, studentsdon not to develop the habit of reading extracurricular accumulation. Therefore,through the following strategies can contribute to the transformation of Chineseunderachievers in primary school: the class teaching strategies, differences inlanguage learning success strategies, psychological intervention strategies, languageknowledge classification guidance strategy, and family education is an effectivestrategy.Hope to extend to the same school language teacher, promote language teachingquality through this paper, and it also contribute to solve the optimization probleminto other disciplines to offer some experiences for other teachers, provide a researchand reference example to transforming students with learning difficulties.
