With the booming development of Chinese language learning,Chinese textbooks are becoming more and more diversified.As a"tool"connecting teachers and students,the quality of Chinese textbooks is positively correlated with the quality of teaching.The primary part of a set of Chinese textbooks is just the first textbook for Chinese language learners to contact with Chinese.As the"tentacle"of triggering Chinese learning,the primary part of Chinese textbooks influences the improvement of Chinese learners’comprehensive language ability,as well as their learning interest and Chinese critical thinking skills.Chinese language textbooks as the basis of teaching,had already became the inevitable research object of Chinese teaching.As platforms for Chinese language teaching—Chinese mainland and Taiwan province—the development of Chinese learning should focus on Chinese textbooks,so it is necessary to study on Chinese teaching materials.This paper selects a set of representative Chinese textbooks on Chinese mainland and Taiwan province—A Course in Contemporary Chinese and New Practical Chinese reader(3rd Edition).This paper is divided into four parts,using comparative analysis to sum up and compare the differences between the two textbooks.The first part is introduction,which mainly expounds the purpose and significance of this paper and the necessity of studying Chinese teaching materials,explains the research scope and research methods of this paper.The second part is the comparison,which mainly compares the differences between the two Chinese language textbooks from compiling principles,overall and single class structure,text situation,vocabulary situation,grammar teaching and practice.The third part is based on the research of the second part,discusses and summarizes the distinguishing qualities of the two parts.The last part is the carding of this paper.This paper makes a comprehensive comparative study of the two sets of Chinese language textbooks.One purpose is to introduce the less known Chinese textbook A Course in Contemporary Chinese to Chinese mainland.Another one is that this study can play a certain role in the future development of Chinese language teaching,and inspire Chinese language teaching in the future. |
