The Research Of Teaching Chinese To Speakers Of Other Language In Shaanxi Province Based On SWOT

In recent years,Shaanxi province has made rapid development in such aspects as the international students’ education management,the education and training of teachers,discipline construction,the international promotion of Chinese,etc.However,there is still a big gap compared with the central and eastern provinces.Based on the above,this thesis sorts out the development process and current situation of the international Chinese language education in Shaanxi Province in order to make a clearer understanding of it.By using the method of literature,investigation,quantitative analysis,comparative analysis,and SWOT analysis,this thesis analyzes and studies the advantages and disadvantages of the internal environment of the international Chinese language education in Shaanxi,as well as the opportunities and threats of the external environment.Meanwhile,it offers some reasonable suggestions.The results of the investigation show that:the internal advantages of the international Chinese language education in Shaanxi province are rich historical cultural resources,located in the core area of "One Belt and One Road",and its abundant university resources.The internal disadvantages of international Chinese language education in Shaanxi province are as follows:the economic strength is comparatively weak in competition and the shortage of education input;the education and training of teachers needs to be strengthened;the construction of Confucius institutes should be greatly accelerated.The external opportunities of international Chinese language education in Shaanxi are:the growing enthusiasm of "Chinese fever",the rapid development of education internationalization and the new opportunities brought by "One Belt and One Road".The external threats of international Chinese language education in Shaanxi province are:the fierce competition among provinces and cities in China and a test for Chinese international education in post-epidemic era.Then the SWOT matrix is constructed,which shows that the advantages and opportunities of international Chinese language education in Shaanxi are far greater than the disadvantages and threats.Shaanxi should follow the principle of “extending its advantages and overcoming its disadvantages with the help of opportunities and challenges”,and our research focus lies in SO and WO strategies.Besides,based on the actual situation of the development of international Chinese language education in Shaanxi,the corresponding countermeasures are formulated:fully elaborating policy-oriented advantages;optimizing distribution of educational resources;improvement of educational management;promoting connotative development and construction of Confucius institutes;joint-cooperation and win-win efforts of colleges and universities;highlighting professional characteristics based on superior disciplines.
