| With the rise of China and the elevation of its international status,Chinese has become a widely popular language tool for communication.The international Chinese education cause has become a cultural brand and a prestige project that all provinces are striving to develop.From the perspective of the national cultural dissemination strategy of "bringing in" and "going out",how to attract more international students to China and promote the construction of Chinese international education discipline has become the dual efforts of developing the international Chinese education cause.Gansu Province has also made great efforts in promoting the cause of international Chinese education.Gansu Province,located at the geometric center of the Chinese geographical map,is not only a major city in the northwest but also a shining pearl on the "Silk Road".The development of international Chinese education in Gansu Province carries a more important mission and obligation in the new historical period.As a core development area of the "Belt and Road",in the aspects of international student education and training,and the construction of the Chinese international education discipline,it continuously pioneers and forges ahead with the support of policies,pushing the international Chinese education cause in Gansu to create a new situation.This study takes the development of the international Chinese education cause in Gansu Province as the research object,conducts in-depth field research in universities and the Provincial Department of Education in Gansu Province,and collects a large amount of data and organizes it.Based on the organization,it is divided into two modules: the development situation of international students in Gansu and the development situation of the Chinese international education discipline.The current status of international Chinese education development in Gansu Province is systematically sorted out,and the SWOT theory is used to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the international Chinese education cause in Gansu Province.The opportunities and threats faced by its development are also sorted out.Finally,with the help of the SWOT matrix,a theoretical analysis and prediction of the development strategy of the international Chinese education cause in Gansu Province is made.The thesis is divided into five sections.The introduction explains the basis and significance of the topic selection,a literature review,the content and innovative points of the study,the research approach and methodology,and the scope and theoretical foundation of the research.The second part,divided into two modules,briefly discusses the history and current state of the international Chinese education industry in Gansu Province.Regarding the development of international students in Gansu,it analyzes four aspects: the number of international students coming to Gansu,the composition of their degree education,the current status of education management,and scholarship construction and the number of recipients.As for the development of the international Chinese education major in Gansu Province,it discusses and analyzes from six aspects: the construction of the faculty,the status of professional construction,the situation of sending volunteer Chinese teachers overseas,the international exchange and cooperation platform of universities,the "Belt and Road" university strategic alliance,and the construction of Confucius Institutes.The third part is the core section of this paper.Using the SWOT analysis method and supported by relevant data,it separately analyzes the strengths,weaknesses,opportunities,and threats of launching international Chinese education in Gansu Province,and constructs the SWOT matrix of international Chinese education in Gansu Province based on this.Among them,the strengths lie in the abundant historical resources and cultural heritage,regional characteristics,ethnic characteristics,and the composition of international student education;the weaknesses lie in the low level of economic development,the scale of international students still needs to be improved,the construction of the teaching staff needs to be strengthened,and the construction of Confucius Institutes is insufficient;the opportunities lie in the "Belt and Road" policy and university alliance strategy,the new land-sea channel in the west,and the continuous heating up of the "Chinese Fever";the threats lie in weak educational resources,low international visibility,and fierce educational competition among provinces.Then construct the SWOT matrix to point out that the current advantages of Gansu’s international Chinese education outweigh the disadvantages,opportunities outweigh the threats,and the development of Gansu’s international Chinese education cause should refer to the advantage development strategy,reversal strategy,and proactive defense strategy.The fourth part,based on the analysis of the SWOT matrix,discusses the strategies that should be adopted in the future development of international Chinese education in Gansu Province.Do a good job of "bringing in" and "going out"."Bringing in" includes government policy support,attracting international students to Gansu,creating the brand of studying in Gansu,improving the quality of education,and promoting the internationalization of education."Going out" includes continuously sending international Chinese teacher volunteers abroad on the basis of consolidating the construction and development of Chinese international education discipline,accelerating the establishment of Confucius Institutes in cooperation with overseas educational institutions,building overseas joint training bases with the help of Gansu’s characteristic resources,and promoting Gansu’s cultural and historical resources overseas.In addition,Gansu should focus on Chinese teaching in Central Asia,including the establishment of new Chinese teaching practice bases and Confucius Institutes.The conclusion section summarizes the content of the thesis and its shortcomings. |
