| Objective: To observe the effect of modified Qinglong Baiwei acupuncture on Visual Analogue Scale(VAS),Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HDAS)and Dermatology Quality of Life Index(DLQI)in patients with postherpetic neuralgia(PHN),and evaluate its clinical efficacy,so as to provide new ideas and methods for clinical treatment of PHN.Methods: A total of 60 patients were randomly divided into the modified Qinglong Baiwei group and the ordinary acupuncture group, with 30 cases in each group. Both groups were treated at Jiaji and Ashi points. The modified Qinglong Baiwei group was treated with modified Qinglong Baiwei acupuncture at Jiaji points, and the ordinary acupuncture group was treated with ordinary acupuncture at Jiaji points, retaining needle 30 min,5 times a week for 3 weeks. Both groups were treated with acupuncture and cupping at Ashi point, twice a week for 3 weeks. The VAS,PSQI,HDAS,and DLQI scores of patients in the two groups were compared before and after treatment to evaluate the patients’ pain degree, sleep quality, anxiety and depression state, and quality of life,so as to evaluate the comprehensive clinical effect.Results:(1)There was no significant difference in the general data(gender, age, course of disease)between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05),which was comparable.(2)VAS scores: There was no significant difference in the VAS scores between the two groups before treatment(P >0.05).The VAS scores of the two groups were decreased after 1,2 and 3 weeks of treatment(P<0.05),and the VAS scores of the modified Qinglong Baiwei group were lower than the ordinary acupuncture group at the same time point, with statistical difference(P<0.05).(3)PSQI scores: There was no significant difference in the PSQI scores between the two groups before treatment(P >0.05).The PSQI scores of the two groups decreased after treatment, with statistical difference(P<0.05);and the PSQI scores of the modified Qinglong Baiwei group were lower than the ordinary acupuncture group, with statistical difference(P<0.05).(4)HADS scores: There was no significant difference in the HA and HD subscale scores of HADS between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).The HA and HD subscale scores of HADS in the two groups were decreased after treatment, with statistical difference(P<0.05);The HA and HD subscale scores of HADS in the modified Qinglong Baiwei group were lower than the ordinary acupuncture group, with statistical difference(P<0.05).(5)DLQI scores: There was no significant difference in the DLQI scores between the two groups before treatment(P >0.05).The DLQI scores of the two groups were decreased after treatment, with statistical difference(P < 0.05);The DLQI scores of the modified Qinglong Baiwei group were lower than the ordinary acupuncture group, with statistical difference(P<0.05).(6)Clinical efficacy: The total effective rate of the modified Qinglong Baiwei group(96.67 %)was significantly better than that of the ordinary acupuncture group(86.67 %),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(7)Safety evaluation: During the treatment in this study,no serious adverse events occurred in both groups. One patient in the modified Qinglong Baiwei group had subcutaneous small hematoma after cupping, which subsided spontaneously after routine treatment.Conclusion:(1)Both the modified Qinglong Baiwei acupuncture and ordinary acupuncture have clinical efficacy in the treatment of PHN.But the modified Qinglong Baiwei acupuncture has faster and better efficacy than the ordinary acupuncture.(2)In the treatment of PHN,the modified Qinglong Baiwei acupuncture is superior to the ordinary acupuncture in improving the degree of pain, sleep quality, anxiety and depression and quality of life. |
