Clinical Study On Acupuncture Combined With Zhuang Medicine Line For The Treatment Of Postherpetic Neuralgia

Objective:This study is the use of randomized controlled trials in clinical observation,comparing the clinical effect of conventional western medicine and acupuncture with Zhuang medicated thread moxibustion treatment of postherpetic neuralgia(PHN).In order to get more effective proof of clinical efficacy of acupuncture with Zhuang medicated thread moxibustion treatment for PHN.Method:The study has be collected 60 cases of PHN,those are confirmed in accordance with clinic diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria of this study.The subjects were randomly divided into treatment and control group,each group having 30 individuals.The treatment group was given by the treatment of acupuncture with Zhuang medicated thread moxibustion,while the control group was treated by conventional western medicine:Gabapentin capsules,Ibuprofen sustained release capsule,Mecobalamin tablets.Two groups of overall treatment time of the disease is the same:once a day,10 days for a course of treatment,both groups received three courses.A curative effect was evaluated by the method of Visual Analogic Scale(VAS),Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)and Hamilton’s depression Scale(HAMD).Two groups were received follow-up visit at 1 month,and recorded the VAS.Results:A total of 29 cases of the treatment group were effective with 1 left,a total of 29 cases of the control group were effective with 1 left.Two groups inage,sex,course of disease,VAS score,PSQI index and HAMD scale had no significant difference(P>0.05),two groups were comparable.(1)Two groups in the comparison of VAS scores before and after treatment,P < 0.01,both treatments could analgesia.The comparison of two groups of VAS after treatment,P<0.01.Showed that the analgesic effect of treatment group was better.Over 1 month after treatment began to follow-up and record VAS.After comparing two groups of available P<0.01,the treatment group long-term analgesia was better than the control group.(2)Two groups in the comparison of PSQI index before and after treatment,P < 0.01,both treatments could improve sleep quality.The comparison of two groups of VAS after treatment,P < 0.01.Showed that the improving sleep quality effect of treatment group was better.(3)Two groups in the comparison of HAMD scale before and after treatment,P < 0.01.both treatments could improve the emotional state.The comparison of two groups of HAMD after treatment,P<0.01.Showed that the treatment group to improve the effect of the emotional state was better.(4)The comparison between the clinical curative effect.The treatment group:16 cured,8 excellent,3 improved,while 2 failed,the total effective rate was 93.10%.The control group:6 cured,11 excellent,7improved,while 5 failed,the total effective rate was 82.76%.The comparison between the two groups of clinical curative effect,P<0.01,indicating that the treatment group curative effect was better than the control group.Conclusion:The treatment group is more effective than control group.Toimprove the PHN patient’s pain,sleep quality and emotional state were better than the control group.The forward of analgesia is better than the control group.Definite efficacy has been observed in treating PHN by acupuncture with Zhuang medicated thread moxibustio,which is worthy for clinical and application.
