Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of zhizhu Pills and Shuangshen Decoction in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy with spleen deficiency and phlegm. Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted in this study.Sixty patients with DPN who met the diagnostic criteria were randomly assigned to a control group and a treatment group, with 30 patients in each group. On the basis of diabetes education, dietary guidance, regulation of blood sugar, blood lipids, blood pressure, etc.,the control group was given mecobalamin tablets orally, and the treatment group was treated with zhizhu Pill and Shuanghe Decoction. The medications in both groups were 8 weeks. At the end of the treatment, the changes of TCM syndrome scores, nerve conduction velocity,Toronto score and other related indicators were observed before and after treatment.Results:1.TCM syndrome scores: The scores of the two groups after treatment decreased compared with before treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05)and the comparison between the groups was better than the control group(P<0.05);The treatment group(93.33%)was superior to the control group(63.33%)(P<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant.2.Nerve conduction velocity: The nerve conduction velocity of the two groups of patients increased after treatment compared with before treatment. After treatment, the SNCV of the bilateral sural nerves in the treatment group were: right(45.49±2.96)m/s,left(45.68±3.08)m/s,and bilateral median nerve SNCV were: right(43.53±2.95)m/ s,left(43.58±2.51)m/s,significantly higher than the pre-treatment and control group(P<0.05);bilateral common sacral and median nerve MNCV improvement was not obvious, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).3.Toronto score: The scores of the two groups after treatment decreased comparedwith before treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the treatment group was superior to the control group(P<0.05).4.The patient’s vital signs were stable during the treatment and no adverse events were found.Conclusion:1.In the basic treatment,Zhizhu Pill and Shuanghe Decoction can reduce the TCM syndrome scores of patients with spleen deficiency and phlegm-reducing type DPN and improve the symptoms and signs of TCM.2.In the basic treatment,Zhizhu Pill and Shuanghe Decoction can increase the nerve conduction velocity of patients with DPN and reduce the Toronto score.3.The safety of the clinical use of Zhizhu Pill and Shuanghe Decoction is recommended.
