The Clinical Observation Of Tongbihuayu Decoction For Treating Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy(Deficiency Of Both Qi And Yin With Blood Stasis Syndrome)

Purpose: To observe the clinical curative effect of Tongbihuayu Decoction on diabetic peripheral neuropathy(deficiency of both Qi and Yin with Blood Stasis Syndrome).Method: The 60 patients who came from the Department of endocrinology of Affiliated Hospital of Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine met the inclusion criteria,were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, 30 cases in each group. This research using a randomized、parallel controlled, and self controlled study method. The experimental group received Tongbihuayu Decoction,while the control group were given Epalrestat,and all of them have a continuous observation of three courses, each couse contains one month.Result: After the treatment, the total effect of the experimental group has obvious advantages than the control group(P<0.05), the total effective rate of treatment group was 83.3%,and the control group was 66.7%; The blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin and nerve conduction velocity were improved.There is no adverse reaction in this experiment, the research is safe and reliable.Conclusion: The Tongbihuayu Decoction can effectively improve DPN patients ’ c-linical symptoms and make their life quality better than before.It is safe and also has a huge potential market,which make a certain contribution to the prevention and treatment of DPN by using traditional Chinese medicine.
