Study On Influencing Factors Of Management Efficiency Of Large Scale Beef Cattle Farm In Heilongjiang Province

Large-scale beef cattle breeding can effectively reduce unit cost,save manpower and material resources,implement standardized production and promote industrial management,and other advantages have gradually become the development direction of China’s beef cattle industry.At present,the research of Chinese scholars on beef cattle efficiency focuses on total factor productivity,technical efficiency and cost-benefit,etc.,and there are few studies on the management eff iciency of large-scale beef cattle farms.In order to turn the potential advantages of beef cattle breeding into real competitiveness,Heilongjiang Province launched the "two cattle and one pig" scale construction project in 2016 to support the large-scale beef cattle farms with more than 300 cows newly deposited or fattened cattle newly established.As a production base of livestock products and commodity grain,Heilongjiang Province has abundant straw resources and grain fodder to provide sufficient and high-quality forage for beef cattle breeding.Large-scale beef cattle farms in Heilongjiang Province have strong policy support from the government and unique resource advantages in feed input.However,some large-scale beef cattle farms still have problems such as improper use of management elements and low professional level of managers.Therefore,it is necessary to analyze the management efficiency and influencing factors of large-scale beef cattle farms in Heilongjiang Province.This paper first describes the management status of large-scale beef cattle farms in Heilongjiang Province from four aspects: the use of management elements,the background characteristics of managers,the form of production organization and the selection of beef cattle breeds.Secondly,the DEA method was used to analyze the management efficiency of beef cattle farms with an annual turnover of more than 500 cattle(including 500 cattle)in Heilongjiang Province,among which the allocation efficiency was the main restriction facto r.Again,to the management efficiency of large-scale cattle field in Heilongjiang province,this paper analyzes the factors which influence,from the cultural degree,breeding density,medical prevention and control,the structure of the depreciation of fixed assets,labor input,feed,beef,retail price index,the breeding cycle eight empirical findings: the factors which influence the degree of culture,depreciation of fixed assets management efficiency and the breeding cycle of Heilongjiang province scale beef cattle field effect was not significant;The breeding density,medical treatment and epidemic prevention,labor input,feed structure and beef retail price index had significant effects on the management efficiency of large-scale beef cattle farms in Heilongjiang Province.Except medical treatment and epidemic prevention had positive and significant effects on the management efficiency,the other influencing factors had negative and significant effects.Finally,countermeasures and suggestions were put forward to improve the management efficiency of large-scale beef cattle farms in Heilongjiang Province from four aspects: improving the input-output structure,popularizing and applying new technologies,improving management methods and improving the quality of managers.
