Study On Influencing Factors Of Technical Efficiency Of Large Scale Dairy Farms In Heilongjiang Province

In the context of China’s large-scale dair y far ming methods gradually becoming dominant,improving the technical efficiency of lar ge-scale dair y farms is of great significance to improve the over all technical efficiency of dairy f arms in China and promote the development of dairy farming.Heilongjiang Province,as a dairy farming base in China,has a dair y inventory of more than 100 heads in 2017,which has accounted for 80% of the total inventory in the province.Studying the technical efficiency of dairy f arms in Heilongjiang Pr ovince has implications for the whol e country.This article fir st defines the concept of large-scale dair y far ms and technical efficiency,and clarif ies that the resear ch object is dair y farms with a total herd inventor y of more than 100 heads.The economic theor y of scale and the frontier theory of production ar e used as the r elevant theor etical basis for this article.After clarifying r elevant concepts and theoretical foundations,design questionnaires and conduct f ield surveys to under stand the current status of technical efficiency of large-scale dairy f arms in Heilongjiang Province.F urthermor e,an evaluation index system for technical efficiency was constructed,and then a DEA model was applied to support 105 dairy far ms in Heilongjiang Province with stocks of mor e than 100 heads in 2017 to determine their technical efficiency,and found that the dairy f arming technology in Heilongjiang ther e is a clear diff erence in efficiency.In or der to explore the factor s that affect the differ ences in technical efficiency of dairy f arms in Heilongjiang Pr ovince,further,an average index system for the influencing factor s of technical efficiency in large-scale dairy f arms in Heilongjiang Province was constructed,and the Tobit model was used to determine the inf luencing factor s of the differ ences in technical efficiency levels of dair y farms.The empirical r esults found that: the educational level of technical and manager ial staff,the use of imported r oughage,the number of lactating cattle stocks and the amount of subsidies had a significant positiv e impact on the technical efficiency of dairy farms,while the total group stocks had a significant negative impact on the technical efficiency inf luences.Finally,according to the r esear ch r esults,this ar ticle gives corresponding countermeasures and sug gestions on the dairy f arm’s own oper ation and government policy formulation.
