With the continuous improvement of the national economy,the tourism industry has also risen people’s yearning for a better life and needs for material culture are growing day by day.Cultural and creative products with regional cultural characteristics were welcomed by consumers.The rapid development of cultural and creative industry has also become one of the important driving forces for China’s national economic growth and cultural heritage.At present,cultural and creative products in Suzhou are mainly derived from museum research and development institutions based on collections and intangible heritage craftsmanship.The research and development of cultural and creative products with Suzhou garden culture as the core was involved,however,the categories were relatively scarce.Suzhou Garden was a national key tourist attraction.Further exploration of its rich garden culture and the development of cultural and creative products would help promote the rapid development of tourism in the Suzhou area.Through the literature review and comprehensive analysis method,this paper studied the common characteristics and the laws that were welcomed by the market of excellent cultural and creative products at home and abroad in terms of creativity,shape,material,color and other aspects,providing the theoretical foundation and creative ideas for the design of Suzhou garden cultural and creative products.Through fieldwork method and user research method,author analyzed the market demand of cultural and creative products in Suzhou,clarified the design direction of Suzhou garden cultural and creative products.Finally,two architectural elements of Suzhou garden walls and flower windows were refined as the main research objects.This subject took functional,cultural,and creative household and cultural supplies as the carrier,and carried out the design of cultural and creative products.In the end,five groups of cultural and creative product design plans were presented,including the "Siya" leaky window aromatherapy combination,the“ice plum pattern" pen container and pen holder,the "empty window sees the mountains" lamp combination,the hole wall bookend,the hole door memo folders and the "white walls and black tiles" tea set.Under the premise of satisfying utility functions,these cultural and creative products helped Suzhou garden culture to be better inherited and promoted,adding beauty and interest in daily life.The three innovation points of this paper are as follows:First,to break the current situation that cultural and creative products in Suzhou are limited to the development of Suzhou Museum based on collection works and intangible cultural heritage crafts;Second,to improve the severe homogeneity of tourist souvenirs in Suzhou and apply the distinctive and representative Suzhou garden architectural elements to the design of cultural and creative products;Third,to enable consumers to be satisfied with the functions and creativity of cultural and creative products,and understand the cultural connotation of cultural and creative products.It was hoped that through the research of this subject,new ideas and reference methods would be provided for the development of Suzhou garden cultural and creative products,and further increase the economic benefits brought by cultural creative products to the tourism industry in Suzhou.
