Under the period of acceleration of urbanization,Hainan International tourism Island has not only been carried out from top to bottom,but villagers have also spontaneously started to update their dwellings.In the wave of construction,due to the lack of architectural aesthetic,regional climate related design guidance,most of the villagers built their own,copy the atlas which leads to the new houses appear flashy,a thousand villages and energy consumption.The small houses in Southeast Asia have many similarities with the houses in Hainan,such as construction and climate environment.However,under the influence of different land policies and construction atmosphere,houses in Southeast Asia show diversified and rich features with typical subtropical regional climate characteristics.This passive design based on regional climate characteristics is closely related to the ingenious use of heat buffer space in design.As an intermediate space between the natural and internal environment of the building,the thermal buffer space can well filter the adverse factors of the outdoors environment,introduce natural energy,and improve the quality of the building environment.The research and definition of thermal buffer space started earlier in foreign countries,but was relatively late in China.Most of the research stayed in the discussion of a certain type of thermal buffer space,and paid more attention to its application in larger scale buildings.There is a lack of research on the application of heat buffer space in modern small houses.Based on the climate background of hot and humid area,this paper makes a study on the application design of heat buffer space in modern small houses.The thesis is divided into the following four parts.The first part firstly makes a study to compare the climate and environment in Southeast Asia and Hainan,and summarizes their common characteristics.Secondly,it compares the technical environment of the residential buildings in the two places to demonstrate that the design of small residential buildings in Southeast Asia can be applied in Hainan.Therefore,this paper can carry out research on the design of thermal buffer space with small houses in Southeast Asia as samples.The space prototype and design method summarized from it have practical reference significance and application value for the design of residential houses in Hainan region.The second part is the research on the comprehensive application of the heat buffer space based on the small housing form.Through the case study of different typologies of house,the paper summarizes the comprehensive layout of different typologies of heat buffer space and the passive action formed by them.The third part,mainly for the in-depth study of monomer on the thermal buffer space,the paper divides three categories of general thermal buffer space layout.According to the differences in every kind of thermal buffer space scales,it divided into nine small classes,and to each kind of thermal buffer space can be combined with the residential function,space prototype,passive role and detail structure analysis summary.Different types of thermal buffer space prototypes and their design and application methods are summarized.A typical thermal buffer space prototype is selected for comparative simulation.Compare the difference of passive effects produced by different prototypes and put forward corresponding design suggestions.Finally,the single design pattern library of heat buffer space is formed to provide ideas for designers to expand.In the fourth part,the paper applies the design method of heat buffer space summarized above to the actual project.Hainan houses selected for actual investigation were redesigned and reconstructed.Through simulation and actual test,the improvement effect of specific heat buffer space on the quality of building environment is achieved.
